Baptism of the Lord

We make a Holy Spirit dove garland and talk about the Baptism of the Lord! This has been a favorite activity for Mass Box kids since when we first tried it 3 years ago and now with some upgraded components to make the craft easier.

A Message To Parents:

THANK YOU to everyone bearing with us as we get this new format under us. We’ve got new team members getting trained and working and we’re catching up. God bless you all and happy crafting!

In the first reading from Isaiah, God tells us about his servant with whom he is well pleased.

Do you ever feel like you just aren’t cutting it? As a parent…spouse… teacher… worker… fill in the blank?

I know I do. I KNOW in my heart that God calls all of us to be the servant with whom he is well pleased. He has called us, he has formed us, he has a plan for everyone of us.

And sometimes, we’re humbled in that plan. In the gospel, we hear about the baptism of Jesus by John. And John asks Jesus “I need to be baptized by you, and yet you are coming to me?” How humbling it is when God not only ALLOWS us to be a part of his plan, but calls us to it. He says it is “fitting.”

This week, I encourage you to look at how God is pleased with us. What is he calling us to do? How is the Holy Spirit guiding each one of us?
