Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” This week you make your very own sleeping mask. (July 5, 2020)

Have you ever heard the phrase, “God won’t give you more than you can handle?”

I actually argue the opposite.

God gives us MORE than we can handle on our own… because just can’t handle everything on our own.

We need God.

In today’s readings, Jesus reminds us that HE will give us rest. We must come to Him first. We must accept help with our burdens, and take on the jobs that HE has for us – not every project and job that comes along the way.

This is hard for me. How about you?

God Bless You,
